First Time Visitor
Whether you’re skeptical about attending church or have been in churches your entire life, First Baptist Church isn’t a place. Rather, it’s a group of people that you can connect with and ask questions, receive support, and grow in your understanding of who Jesus is.
If you’ve decided to join us for a Sunday gathering, that’s fantastic news! We can’t wait to meet you and welcome you into our community. Because coming to a new church can be intimidating, here are some details about our services and programs so you know what to expect.

Main Gatherings
Our gatherings take place in the main auditorium at 10:30 am. During our time together we spend time worshipping God through music, prayer, and a message from God's Word. We also collect an offering which funds the various ministries and work the church is doing in the community and around the world. There is no expectation or requirement to give. On the first Sunday of the month we participate in communion together. Together we accept bread and grape juice as symbols of Christ’s life, death and resurrection. During a service you may also witness Child Dedication, Baptism, special music and a Children's Moment. There is no dress code. Our services are usually about 70 minutes.
Bringing Family?
Although children are welcome to remain in the adult service, you may choose to take advantage of our Children's Ministry. We have classes and care for ages 18 months- Grade 6. Kids can enjoy age appropriate, targeted Bible teaching while you take in the message during the adult service. Children will remain with their parents for the first half of the service, which includes worship music and offering. Following a special Children's Moment, the children are released to their classes.
